A BIG thank you and ALL musical credit goes to the a cappella comedy group Moosebutter (from Provo, UT), who greatly assisted me in the making of this video and memorizing their brilliant song "Star Wars" from their 2002 album 'see dee'. This video was done with their blessing and their support. Check out their website here:

OMG! Sweet sweet Internet!
Yes, I've been gone for a while. Yes, I haven't updated my Multiply, Facebook, Friendster, Plurk and Twitter in almost a month. Yes, it's sad because, aside from losing karma in Plurk (I've probably lost my dancing banana again), I've also lost a lot in terms of updates, keeping in touch and what not. I can't even log into my YM to chat up my friends and colleagues.
See it's quite simple. My home ISP sucks. And there's nothing I can do about it.
Thankfully, there's a net cafe outside our place (short walk but hey I need the exercise anyway), and, for emergencies like today, it's a welcome retreat. Had doubly urgent files to send and my ISP, as usual... FAIL!
The one thing that got me the second I got to the net cafe though was the number of people actually hanging out here. There are about 40 stations here and only a handful are free. Second, there are people hanging out in the coffee tables, not even using the internet... just hanging out. Third, there are only two bookmarks on the browser: Friendster and YouTube. And last but not least, the girl behind me is talking to someone from the province via the available earphones with built in mic... via Yahoo Messenger.
That pretty much sums up the usage of the Pinoys in most net cafes. And it's quite interesting to see that the internet really is an invaluable part of a person's daily pastime. I see students, people in house clothes, gimmick clothes, office clothes and one in a nurse uniform. My guess is most of them dropped by the place beforedeciding to head home.
And the end cost? Php 20.00. Which is already expensive in these parts. And the net access is fast too... so definitely well worth the price of admission.
Just to fill you in though on my current status, aside from my home ISP making me go bonkers (I can't even send an excel file some hours of the day... I have to wait early morning to be able to do some real browsing), my Mac died on me. Yes. My new office-issue Mac which wasn't so new at all... went kaput. Hard disk was unreadable. All my data... gone. Furthermore, the temporary PC I have in the office is such a sad excuse for a PC that I can't even run powerpoint without my explorer hanging. Multiply Tabs in Mozilla are worse... they really crash the system. And my YM... blocked by the firewall.
So yes ladies and gentlemen, I've been hit by virtual karma... too much net browsing and the digital gods are telling me to slow the frick down.
Thank God for accessible net cafes. I'll be back... I'm going to tour the net cafes around the area and see which has the best... ambience!

( and hopefully, more Philippines schools will be recognized next year.)
Which is why I was saying... the greenies should focus on more important matters, and not such trivial things like 'a little bonfire'.
And I'm gloating. Gloat. Gloat. Gloat. Kick 'em when they're down I say.
Lol just kidding. Upakan ako ng mga barkada kong Green-blooded.
But I'll still gloat. (insert Plurk banana dance here)

What's this Fascination with Celebrity Bloggers? O_O
Here's an excerpt:
With Filipino internet users displaying the highest affinity towards social media, it's no wonder that well-known personalities--from showbiz and entertainment to politics--are also making appearances in social networks, blogs and more. Just today a new celebrity blog was linked by DigitalFilipino's Janet Toral via Plurk... former Bb. Pilipinas Ms. Miriam Quiambao! And a few weeks back, possible presidential hopeful Mar Roxas added me on FaceBook!Hope you drop by my Cnet blog and leave a comment. Or not. Wahtevar. Blogging about blogging... that's just genius.

Zeros Over Tokyo
And these are our songs.
Listen to 'em please! (But please don't mind the low quality of the recording... I just used a videocam to record these haha).
Recorded at Love One Another Studios.
Title: No Matter
First song we put together as a band. Meng's composition before he had to leave. Miss ka na namin boy! Lyrics by Lara.
Lyrics by: Lara Lardizabal
Unsteady hands
fumbling to hold mine
I clutch at it afraid,
afraid of losing your grip
Chorus:
Afraid of losing your grip, your grip..
but your hands still fall
I'll reach for it no matter
Eyes forming pools
you're full to the brim
of people pulling you down
you're already drowning
2nd Chorus:
You're already drowning
You're drowning
but I'll drown with you
I'll drown with you no matter
Bridge:
Mist from your lips
put your mouth over mine
fill me with what poison
you've been full of since
3rd Chorus
And through this
may life shine again in your eyes
even as they dim in mine
no matter, no matter
Title: Disappear
First collaborative effort ng band. This is how we knew that we 'gelled' so well... I just started hitting a few notes, instrument by instrument we started filing in, and then Lara started singing from her song book... new song was born!
Zeroes Over Tokyo
Disappear
Is this all there is?
Nothing to look forward to,
nothing beneath the surface
but hazy empty clouds
leading only god knows where
Chorus:
I'm done, I'm done
done finding, done fighting
I'm done, I'm done
done trying, done dying
Is there nothing to see
nothing to hear, nowhere to turn to
for someone to just find me
Is this all I/we ever can be?
(chorus 2x)
Tell me what is it in me?
Is there anything to see
cause I can't feel anything real,
can I just completely disappear.
(chorus 2x)
Title: Brand New
Second collaborative effort. Same as Disappear, only it wasn't me that started the jam... Chris and Vince and then Rica's mala-Pedicab beat. Lupit talaga 'tong song na to! Haha! Kapal! Again, Lyrics ni Lara.
Brand New
Lazy mornings wrapped in juniper blue
Cotton candy clouds and some sunshine too
Relishing waking up next to you
My head is reeling, the feeling is so...
Freesia blossoms and honeysuckle dew
perfumes the air, coloring every hue
Wanting nothing more than to cozy up with you
can't get over the feeling, it's so...
Chorus:
New.. I'm feeling new
so brand new
I'm feeling new
so brand new
Untitled as of today.
Same style as Disappear... it just happened. Music by the band. Lyrics by Lara, as usual. This is by far my most favoritestsest among our songs.
Untitled (draft)
The tension cutting like
a chilling gust of wind
making me shiver, terrified
of what's to come next
The silence reverberates
every awkward minute..
Dreading each day
yet still looking forward
to when sheer memory
comes full circle
Forces us to the present
where there is nothing left
but the unexpected

"THE" Ateneans - Repost and Commentary by... Someone else
Na-gets nyo ba? It took me a long while to formulate that sentence...
Anyway, here's an excerpt from his rant:
Wala itong kinalaman sa UAAP na kung saan "TIU"mamba ang Ateneo sa pagkapanalo sa Season 71 UAAP. Hindi sya tsamba. "THE" Ateneo is the better team this year. I was there kaya alam ko. And believe me, nakanganga ako habang pinapanod ko sila. Now don't get me wrong. Some Ateneans may even actually agree with him... but to generalize is the same as jumping to a conclusion and the same as putting your foot in your mouth. Not all persons of a certain educational and socio-economic class are elitist, and not all elitists come from the same school. In fact, it has always been a common misconception that it's all heavenly shores inside the Loyola campus--you can be as easily discriminated inside the same school as you can be once outside it.
This is about "THE" Ateneans. Base from my experience.. "THE" Ateneans are snob. HAHA. "OK. SO?" or "OK. SO WHAT's THE POINT?" Owned ka dba? Barado to the NTH Level. Kaya minsan nakakatakot makipagusap sa mga "THE" Ateneans eh. Mababara ka lang.
FOR ME, Atenistas have their own little world na kung saan Sila sila lang ang nageenjoy and stuffs. Lasallites, Upinians, Thomasians and other schools are the "ONES WE DO NOT SPEAK OF" hahahahahaha! :)
I THINK, only "THE" Ateneo is not prone to holdap, rape, and other crimes. FEELING.
Oh well. iba talaga pag "THE" Atenean ka. Sila ang "Cream of the Crop,""The Untouchables," and so on. Wala ata akong kaibigan or schoolmate or classmate na nakapasa sa Ateneo. Kayo? Or ganon pa din? If hindi nagbago, Well Lucky you. LOL Just kidding. haha.
Besides... I make tusok-tusok da pishballs too you know. Hehehe.

I'm a big statement tee geek, especially the funny and crass ones. And the more Pinoy (or in my case the more geek-speak) the better.

Look ma, I'm on TV! ^_^;;
The interview segment will be about Universal McCann's Wave 3 Study on Social Media... sounds boring? Actually, I'll be talking about Filipinos uploading 1M photos everyday in Multiply, about the 12M or 2-point-something Filipino users in Friendster traffic daily, about the more than 30% increase in blog readership in the Philippines over the past year and about the 9 out of 10 Filipinos online who watch Moymoy Palaboy.
Hope you guys can watch! ^_^
